Plov

This is an idea I got from my friend Misha. It is a tasty treat made with lamb and rice. This recipe is presented in a slightly different form than many of my others.

The idea for this site was inspired by the sudden demise of Misha's Plov page, and by the realization that the term plov is probably cognate to pilaf and pullao, other words for tasty rice dishes you may have heard of. Indeed, the principles involved here are really quite general. You can probably imagine many variations on the same theme. For example, we are also fond of a pullao with shrimp, cilantro and jalapeno. But that is not this recipe.
